- In which the valve opens and then closes when food enters. After entering the stomach, It is closed in such a way that food cannot go back into the esophagus
*Causes of Acidity
- Valve will not close properly.
- Eating too much acidic food.
- By eating and sleeping immediately.
- By smoking cigarettes.
- From alcohol consumption
- Sometimes this valve does not close properly due to reasons as mentioned above. And the acid in the stomach is diluted by the proteins in the stomach, but due to the valve not closing properly, the acid enters the esophagus.

- Heart burn.
- Cough.
- Vomiting
- Upper abdominal or chest pain
- Sensation of a lump in your throat.
